![]() If a game is being made by passionate people that care about what they put out clearly the other stuff doesn't matter. ![]() Hollow Knight was made by a VERY small team and it came out the gate and basically beat EVERY metroidvania that came before it so clearly its not about money and team size. Originally posted by Reborn:thats a very pessimistic way to look at things. Comparing it to juggernauts in the Indie and AAA Action Game space before it's even out is just a way to set the game up to be judged unfairly. Let the game stand on its own and see what it does. Or to compare it to an Indie darling like Hollow Knight. But I don't think it's fair to put something created by a small team in direct comparison with a AAA title developed by a studio that has been making incredible games since 2004. ![]() I'm pumped to try it out and really hope the verticality and exploration hits the mark for me. I'm very excited to play it, and will be checking it out day one, but I just feel like quite a bit of hype and expectation has built up around the title, and I'm of the mind that one should always hope for the best while keeping one's expectations in check. I'm just saying, this is a pretty crazy ambitious looking title for something made by three people. Thats the issue with AAA development NO ONE cares about what they put out cause they KNOW people will buy it anyway, Indie devs dont have that luxury so if they want their game to sell they HAVE to care. thats a very pessimistic way to look at things. ![]() This is a game developed by three people over 4 years. I really hope Bleak Faith does great, but let's keep our expectations in check. ![]() “Certainly this has been a huge lesson for us and hopefully other indie creators out there too that assets on these storefronts seemingly cannot be purchased in good faith.”īleak Faith: Forsaken is a Soulslike survival-horror action RPG that was released for PC on March 10.Originally posted by Rinaldus:Considering that Wo Long was developed by a well-fianced studio with decades of experience, I would guess not. “Some changes we included in the recent patches, and more are coming in the next few days,” the studio said. The development team has also removed all of these animations from Bleak Faith, stating that Epic’s answer wasn’t satisfactory and will work to replace the assets over the next few days. As with any store that hosts third-party content, however, Epic is not in a position to independently verify such rights, and Epic makes no such guarantee to purchasers of the content.”Īrchangel Studios noted that the assets that it had used for Bleak Faith have since been removed from the Unreal Engine marketplace. The studio also said that it had reached out to Epic Games about an investigation, to which it then responded, “Pursuant to the Marketplace Distribution Agreement, each Marketplace seller represents and warrants to Epic that they have appropriate rights to upload their content. ![]()
